Awkwafina

American actor and musician Awkwafina made her debut with humorous songs that dealt with sexuality and racial identities with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to expanding her repertoire to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her very first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. After that, she took traditional and hip-hop training. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. It was also during this time that she spent an hour studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. She didn't start focusing on music until the time she graduated. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success over the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album featured other sensational hits such as body-positive Queef and a winking, hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The latter track connected directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC guide to traveling published in the year 2015. After she established herself as a musician and an author who wrote books, she was able to accept acting roles. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors in Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered numerous important roles such as Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she published the EP in Fina We Trust.
